Habitat is a mixed use development situated in Byron Bay that combines residential, commercial, retail and recreational uses.

GCB Construction was instrumental in creating the Pocket Living Precinct, a collection of residential units.

The core focus of the project was to create high quality units that utilised sustainable materials to create a series of environmentally focused buildings.

The Pocket Living Precinct feature four two storey buildings, comprising of a mixture of 1 and 2 bedroom loft configurations. 60 apartments across the primary bed configurations were completed in 2019.

The overall value of the build was $11.5 million.

Shriro Commercial was appointed to provide a comprehensive appliance package for the development. Chosen appliances included the OBO674X 60cm built-in oven, OCI64Z 60cm induction cooktop, OFI604A 60cm fully integrated dishwasher and ORT6WXA 60cm slide-out rangehood.
